Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026
Effective date: September 6, 2026

Welcome to Project 50(the “App”). We value your privacy and are committed to providing an environment where you can use the App without worrying about data leaks. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle and protect your data.

1. Data collection and use

  • The App does not collect or upload any of your personal information. All data, such as check-in records, challenge progress, and daily summaries, is stored only on your device.
  • The AI summary feature uses a large language model that runs locally on your device. Neither your input nor the generated content is sent to the cloud. The entire process takes place locally to protect your privacy.
  • The App supports importing and exporting challenge records. Exported files are encrypted and intended solely for personal backup or migration. Imported data is decrypted locally and is not shared with any third party.
  • You may choose to save your check-in results as images or share them on social media. These actions are initiated entirely by you; the App does not upload or analyze any data.
  • “Daily Quote” content is retrieved over the internet solely for display. It does not involve user identity information or behavioral data.
  • The App contains no advertising or analytics tools and does not track your usage behavior.

2. Data security

  • User data, including check-in records, settings, and AI summaries, is stored and processed only on your device and is not uploaded to the cloud. Retrieving “Daily Quote” content and downloading the fallback AI model require an internet connection, but do not upload any of the user data described above.
  • The developer cannot access any of your local data. You can delete or reset the App's data at any time, retaining full control over it.

3. Third-party open-source components

The App uses several open-source software components, each governed by its respective open-source license, such as MIT or Apache License 2.0. We comply with the relevant license terms and retain the original authors' copyright notices and LICENSE files.

All open-source components are used solely for local inference and supporting functionality. All related processing takes place locally and does not involve uploading or sharing user data.

4. Permissions

  • The App requests notification permission to remind you to check in at your chosen time. These reminders operate entirely locally and do not involve remote push notifications or data uploads. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in your device's system settings.
  • The App does not request any device permissions other than notifications.

5. Data management and deletion

  • User data is stored only locally. You can delete all records by uninstalling the App.
  • You can also selectively delete past challenge records on the Challenge History screen.
  • You can export challenge data as an encrypted file to restore or migrate it within the App later.
  • The App does not store any information that identifies you, so we cannot help retrieve or reconstruct your data. Please keep your exported files safe.
  • We recommend exporting your data regularly to prevent data loss if your device is lost or data is accidentally deleted.

6. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Project 50 app itself. It does not apply to any other websites or services.

7. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We recommend checking this page periodically for the latest version. Updates take effect immediately without further notice.
